How does image processing work?
When you split, preview, and export an image, the core work runs in your browser during the session. The free tool does not require an account, payment details, or Instagram login credentials.
What information do we collect?
We may collect basic analytics, information you choose to send, and technical details needed to keep the service reliable. Routine usage data is handled separately from image content.
- Page views, tool events, referrers, approximate location, browser and device information.
- Browser-side upload or export error signals that help diagnose broken workflows; these signals are not meant to include source image content.
- Emails and information you voluntarily send when contacting support.
- No account password, payment card, government ID, or sensitive profile data is required for the core free tool.
How do we use information?
Information is used to operate the site, respond to requests, improve the product, understand aggregate usage, and maintain security.
How do cookies and analytics work?
Instagram Grid Maker and third-party providers, including Google and, if ads are enabled in the future, Google AdSense, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers to measure traffic, remember settings, serve ads, and understand which pages or tools are useful. As of this policy update, the site has not enabled Google AdSense ads yet. Google and other ad partners may place or read cookies in a visitor's browser, or use web beacons or IP addresses, as part of ad serving when advertising is enabled.
When do service providers receive data?
Service providers may process hosting, analytics, email, or infrastructure data when they help operate the site. Their access is tied to those service roles rather than image publishing.
How long do we retain information?
Retention depends on the type of information: contact messages may be kept for support history, analytics may be aggregated, and browser-only image work is not saved as a project by default.
What choices and rights do users have?
Users can send privacy requests to hello@instagramgridmaker.org, adjust browser settings, and use rights available under applicable laws. Include enough context to identify the issue; avoid passwords, payment details, government IDs, or unrelated personal documents.
How will this policy change?
If the site adds accounts, paid features, APIs, or server-side image processing, this policy will be updated before those features rely on new data flows.
